Caroline Stanbury pokes fun at husband Sergio Carrallo for crying after her facelift

Caroline Stanbury teased her husband, Sergio Carrallo, for getting emotional after she underwent a facelift late last year.

“Sergio is emotional when the wind changes … and he didn’t really understand what a facelift was. It’s not like I showed him how I was going to come out, to be honest,” she told Page Six in a new interview.

The “Real Housewives of Dubai” star admitted that even she “didn’t really understand” what she would look like after the cosmetic procedure, so she understands why it would be jarring for her husband.

“You guys saw a snippet of it. You didn’t see what was under those bandages, and it was pretty scary,” she shared. “The nurses just hand you back and say, ‘Bye!’ And you don’t know, like, how long is this going to last? How am I going to look? I mean, you look crazy on another level.”

Stanbury, 48, joked that she felt like she had an “alien face” right after the procedure, but believed that somehow still “looked better” than what she looked like pre-facelift.

“You’re like, ‘Oh, I could live like this.’ So you don’t ever see yourself coming around and looking normal. But you do, and I can’t recommend it enough. I loved it,” she boasted.

The “Uncut and Uncensored” podcast host also said that the “scary” procedure was worth it in the end.

“I need less makeup, which is amazing, so I feel great. I absolutely love it. I wouldn’t change a thing. In fact, I wish I’d done it sooner. I knew it was going to be this good,” she raved.

Stanbury did point out, however, that fans are still seeing her “old face” on Season 2 of “RHODubai” which is currently airing on Bravo.

The “Ladies of London” alum went under the knife in November 2023. At the time, her husband, 29, shared his candid and tearful reaction to her face bruised and wrapped up in bandages to social media.

“This was probably one of the hardest moments of my life. Seeing the person that you love with all your heart suffering and in pain how she was … it was very hard,” he captioned the emotional video. “As a husband I will always support her and be here for her and as much as I was against it, she really wanted to do it. So, I was there for her, supporting and helping her day to day,”

Carrallo –– who wed Stanbury in December 2021 –– has since gotten accustomed to his wife’s new look. They both shared their excitement and gratitude for the procedure just a few weeks later.

“The Real Housewives of Dubai” airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo and streams on Peacock the following day.
